Est. 2026 · A practicing musicians’ network
The network of practicing professional musicians to collaborate, grow, and advance.
For musicians who actually practice — teachers, performers, directors, and the seriously devoted. The people who do the work, connected so the work gets seen.
Not a union. Not a lesson platform. Not an accreditation body. A network.

Find your room
Which musician are you?
One association, one membership — but your Tuesday looks different from everyone else’s. Start where you live.
Private & studio teachers
Grow a studio of students who actually practice — and a peer network that gets what Tuesday at 4pm is like.

Less policy, more practice. Tools and peers for the podium, the band room, and everything after the bell.
This is me →Working & gigging musicians
The network that knows your name when the next call goes out — collaborators, subs, and opportunities.
This is me →Students & emerging pros
You're putting in the hours. Join the room where those hours are seen — and start building your name now.
This is me →Devoted amateurs
Serious about the work without making a living from it? You belong here. We gate by commitment, not by career.
This is me →Creator-musicians
You teach the internet. Partner with an association that takes online educators seriously — a roster, real infrastructure, recurring economics.
This is me →01 — Belonging
A warm, low-ego network of people who show up
Most of a musician’s life happens where nobody’s watching: the practice room, the studio at 4pm, the band room after the bell, the kitchen table with a metronome. IAPM is built for that life — a community where logging your scales counts as news, where a teacher’s Tuesday matters, and where nobody asks for your credentials at the door.
No turf. No audition to belong. No “real musician” snobbery. Just working musicians — and the seriously devoted — lifting each other.
What we stand for
Members don’t just join — they stand behind a Code
A network is only as strong as how its people show up. Every IAPM member is a Practicing Musician who affirms the IAPM Code — a promise to the colleagues, students, clients, and audiences they work with, and the reason the mark means something to anyone deciding who to hire.
- 01Show up.
- 02Come prepared.
- 03Communicate promptly and clearly.
- 04Be easy to work with.
- 05Honor your commitments.
- 06Be clear and fair about money.
- 07Respect everyone you work with.
- 08Build other musicians up.
- 09Be honest in what you list.
- 10Keep practicing.
02 — Visibility
Be seen, heard, and discovered for the work you do
Member spotlights
Every week we feature members’ work — a studio milestone, a comeback recital, a practice streak that survived a tour. The spotlight goes to the work, not the follower count.
The member directory
A public listing with your instrument, your discipline, and your work — so students, collaborators, and bookers can find you. Founding Members carry their badge there permanently.
Send them a sticker
Members recognize each other’s work with stickers — for showing up, helping out, improving. Recognition here is something you give, not just something you chase.
03 — Growth
Real tools and real peers, to improve faster
Membership includes the Bravura practice tools on an exclusive IAPM plan — logs, streaks, and educator dashboards. Pair the tools with peers who compare notes honestly, and the hours start compounding.
An app tracks your practice. IAPM makes it count — seen, celebrated, connected.
04 — Advancement
Open doors: students, gigs, collaborators
The opportunities board lists gigs, teaching posts, and collaborations from members and partners. The directory puts your name where students and bookers look. The network does what networks do — it remembers you when the next call goes out.

The first 500 names go on the founders’ wall — permanently
We’re new, and we won’t pretend otherwise. There are no decades of testimonials here yet — there’s a founding class forming. The first 500 members are numbered #1–500, listed on the founders’ wall for as long as IAPM exists, and in the room while the association takes shape. 0 places are already claimed.

Common questions
Is this a union?
No. IAPM doesn’t negotiate contracts, collect work dues, or represent anyone in a dispute. We’re a professional network — musicians who practice, connected so the work gets seen and doors open. If you need union representation, the AFM does that job well.
Do I need to be a professional?
You need to be a practicing musician — someone who shows up for the work, whether that’s a teaching studio, a wedding band, a conservatory practice room, or an hour after the kids are asleep. We gate by commitment, not by credentials or income.
What does Bravura have to do with IAPM?
Bravura, a practice platform for musicians and educators, sponsors the association — that’s what makes the founding rate possible. Members get an exclusive Bravura plan as a perk. The association is bigger than any app: your membership, directory listing, and community belong to IAPM, not to a piece of software.
What exactly do I get?
The full regular newsletter and content archive, a listing in the member directory, access to the opportunities board, member perks including the Bravura IAPM plan, and eligibility for member spotlights. Founding Members also get a permanent number (#1–500), a founding badge, and a place on the founders’ wall.
Can I cancel?
Anytime, in your account, no phone calls. And in your first 30 days, email us and we’ll refund you — no forms, no questions. One honest caveat: if a Founding Member cancels, the $9.95 rate doesn’t come back.
Why $9.95?
Membership is $49/year — already the lowest real price of any paid music association we know of. The first 500 members join at $9.95/year, locked for life, because we want a founding class small enough to know by name — people in the room early, shaping what this becomes. Bravura’s sponsorship covers the difference.
